“This is great for DVDs, but I’d be a tad concerned with it holding hardcover books. The directions took some extra time to understand bc they didn’t look exactly like the real pieces (the top is opposite of what shows in the diagram). After I figured I just need to make all the hole sides on one side and smooth on the other I figured it out (after unscrewing and redoing one section). And in the end the slight pre-drilled side to add the large pieces for the back was on the wrong side. Luckily I lined up the holes before I attached, saving myself an eyesore of a drilled exposed section. And the bottom is barely drilled, as the screws are short.
