After getting it opened and on the floor, I noticed there was no trace of dirt, and as far as odor, I guess you could say it smells a bit “earthy”, but not bad at all! I imagine that will fade in time. I didn’t feel I had to vacuum the rug like others have mentioned.I am very please with this purchase. Ignore the 1 star reviews. Especially the one about the scratches on the Floor! It’s impossible! It’s too soft.
