Design & Decor Ideas from Customers

“It only took me 1-2 hours to put this shed together by myself. Very easy to assemble. I recommend a razor/box cutter blade to trim plastic flash leftover from manufacturing the panels. I am satisfied with my purchase of this shed.” – Ted (Source: Amazon)

“I built a wood foundation before the shipment arrived and put it up by myself in 5 hours of slow and careful assembly. I built a large sturdy shelf and store three adult bicycles below the shelf and a large cooler, two suitcases, a compressor, a chop saw and several other items on the shelf.” – John W. Saunders (Source: Amazon)

“Went together pretty quickly. Probably 3 hours total by myself. A few words in the instructions would help. Like “remove all foam” as it’s not part of it. Pieces in the ridge and doors were a problem until I realized they were just to hold shape. Time will tell on durability. The roof panels seem pretty flimsy. Not sure how they will do with snow load.” – Mike (Source: Amazon)

“Simple to assemble with picture/instructions.Makes a good shed for temporary needs.Expect some pieces to arrive damaged.Have some super glue to repair cracked/broken pieces.Roof is black plastic and makes shed hot in sunlight (white or clear would be better). No skylight – this is false claim. Center piece is opaque plastic. For long-term use some post assembly additions needed:* Self adhesive white vinyl on exterior roof.* Mesh screen on vents to deter insects.* Exterior Corner braces.* Exterior door hinges.* Ground anchor and tie down strap.” – Tdubyah (Source: Amazon)

“I was not able to put this together solo. Even with two people it was challenging at times. It’s flimsy plastic, and the way the parts snap/slide together it’s hard to get them overlapping the proper way.Minimal hardware, which means most of it is just snapped together. Not sure how this is going to hold up to the Santa Ana’s. We have it in a corner, so it’s well protected on two sides. I would NOT put this in the middle of a yard as a stand alone structure.I looked for a cheap shed, and I definitely got a cheap shed.I suggest Googling the manual and looking at how it’s assembled. You’ll see how the panels are basically all held together by the large plastic screw/pins at the corners. In the future I’ll fork over the extra cash and get a sturdy Rubbermaid/Lifetime/Craftsman shed. Taking the L on this one and hoping it’ll last 3-5 years, but not too confident.” – Ashlie (Source: Amazon)

“This is the 6 x 3 model. We assembled it in about 4 hours, but in 100 degree heat. I don’t recommend doing that. But we are still married. The instructions need to swap step number 23 and 26 (do 26 first). The roof is black – good for winter, not so good in summer. We just installed it, so I’m not saying anything about how it will do in weather.Ours is south facing. It does look nice. We spent a lot of time leveling the area first. That is important. So far, no regrets.” – plj (Source: Amazon)

“We have the Keter pool deck box and we’re happy with it so we took the chance on this little shed. Had I paid much more for it, I wouldn’t be giving it 5 stars. But for $499 I feel it is accurate. We didn’t have issues with a poor conditioned box or missing parts or warped pieces. Everything came in great condition. It is crucial to set a level and square foundation first. Take the time to do this. We used 2×6’s and 2×4’s to frame it and working with a decline. We filled it with some sod, then gravel and then paver base on top. The directions were pretty clear to us. The only change we made was from a previous review (thank you to this reviewer) who said they put both pieces of one wall side up and then slid the connector piece in between. Definitely great to have two people assemble. Our Keter pool box hasn’t aged at all in the Florida sun and we don’t expect this shed to either. This was a great idea for storage that gets around our HOA restrictions but would be very easy to take down when we move some day.” – Kay Cockpea (Source: Amazon)

Other Landscaping Ideas

Backyard Gardening Storage: The large capacity of the shed, it’s easy to access double door and shelf-bracket feature makes it an ideal organizational unit for all gardening tools. Containers for fertilizers, soil, and other garden necessities can be neatly arranged. There’s ample space to incorporate an organizing system of hooks and shelving units so that tools are not only stored but are easily accessible and organized.

Indoor Plant Transferee: The shed can double as a mini greenhouse during weather extremities to protect fragile plants. The shed has a vent for air circulation and a skylight to let in natural light—both features neccessary for the plant’s survival. With its generous size, one can set up potting benches and arrange plants so they can thrive even in adverse outdoor conditions.

Lawn Mower Storage: The large double door design of the shed makes it easy to drive the lawn mower right in. Besides, the shed’s heat vent ensures that fumes from the lawn mower don’t build up, making it safe storage. This storage strategy not only keeps the lawn mower safe from the elements, but often extends its lifespan by preventing rusting or more frequent tune-ups due to exposure.

Storage for Patio Furniture: The product can serve as a secure storage for all manner of patio furniture, keeping them safe from the weather, including sun fading, rain, or snow damage. The broad double doors make moving furniture in and out easy. Padded benches, pillows, and other fabric or leather items will retain color and stay mildew-free. Also, the steel-reinforced resin structure ensures a sturdy storage that can comfortably handle the weight of heavy furniture.

Pool Accessories Unit: The weather-resistant and waterproof qualities of the Keter Factor shed makes it ideal for storing pool accessories. Beach chairs, inflatables, and umbrellas will not only be neatly tucked away but kept in conditions that favor their longevity. The shed’s ventilation close to the roof, keeps the interior fresh and protects stored items from the mustiness typically associated with dampness, and its UV protected feature could prevent these items from color fading.
